Welcome
Crompton Lowlines was founded and established by myself, John Miller, a third generation farmer born at the farm. with 40 years experience of dairy farming .
Low Crompton farm consists of DIY Stabling and 40 cow suckler herd, mainly Simmental cross, using approx 75 acres and operated by a single person.

My Background
I have been a diary farmer since a very young age. Around fifteen years ago I took the decision to cease milk production and convert some of my buildings into horse stables.
After some years, I began to miss breeding cattle and so bought Simmental cross calves in 2010. My real interest whilst I had been dairying had been on the breeding side of things and I have always tried to use the best genetics that were available. While enjoying being back into cattle breeding, I couldn’t really decide which breed to get into on a pedigree basis.
It was in 2012 that a good friend and colleague, James Graham, introduced me to the Australian Lowline and I became excited at the prospect of breeding these profitable and cute animals.
In 2013 I purchased 10 Lowline embryos from Australia which were imported from the much respected studs of:
- Elandra Park
- Wanamara
- Whitby Hall Farms
- Baragowa.
